10 Facts should be known about Cyrus Mistry car accident

On Sunday (4 september) afternoon, former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry died in a car crash on the route connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad (India).

He was travelling back home after visiting a Parsi temple that had been constructed in Udvada, Gujarat.

In Maharashtra, close to Palghar, the Mercedes GLC 220 of 54-year-old Mistry collided with a road divider.

Mistry and his companion Jehangir Pandole were killed, while the female physician Anayata Pandole and her husband Darius Pandole were injured.

The Mercedes car was being driven at a pace of roughly 134 kilometres per hour.

After hitting the divider, the front airbags of the automobile opened, however the rear airbags did not open at the correct time.

Cyrus Mistry sustained serious injuries to his internal organs as a result of the accident, according to the postmortem report.

Cyrus Mistry and Jehangir Pandole were in the back seats, while Dr. Anayata  who was driving and her husband Darius, were in the front seats.

According to Dr. Tejas Shah, both Anaita and Darius were in critical condition when they were taken to our hospital.

PM Narendra Modi sent his condolences on Cyrus Mistry's passing.
